Knock Around Camps are only available for purchase to families that were included in the 2024 pre-registration lottery from now until March 11th. Registration will open to the community on Monday March 11th at 12:00pm.

Knock Around Camp wait lists will open to lottery families on Friday March 8th at 12:00pm. Wait lists will be available to all others when registration opens on Monday March 11th at 12:00pm.

HOW TO REGISTER

Summer 2024 we are transitioning to an online registration system that allows parents to register their children directly through our website – no more submitting an interest form! The new system will show, in real time, which camps have space and will allow parents to add their families to the wait lists of full programs. This year, each priority group will register in a group based on their family’s past attendance and/or lottery number. For example, families who have been attending for 7 or more years will register on Feb. 28th with Group A, families who have been attending for 6 years will register on Feb. 29th with Group B, and so on. Families who have been attending fewer than 5 years will be added to the lottery and assigned to a registration group/day based on the lottery results. For example, the first 100 numbers drawn from the lottery will be assigned to Group C and register on March 1st; Group D will register on March 2nd, etc. Registration will be on a first come, first served basis within the registration group days and times. We will send out your family's registration date/grouping ahead of time.
 
*Important: Please log in to your UCSD Recreation account using your Single Sign On/Active Directory credentials (UCSD affiliates) or community log in (non-affiliates) to confirm your campers are added as dependents to your profile. UCSD affiliates already have a Recreation profile. Once logged in navigate to your profile at the top right of the page, then click “add family member” towards the bottom of your profile. If your camper did not attend in summer 2023 please email us their member ID number, regardless of past attendance from 2022 or earlier. The member ID can be viewed by clicking the drop down “viewing as” menu and clicking on the dependent, their member ID will be displayed below their name, beginning with the letter “M”. If your family is considered UCSD affiliated but a non-affiliated partner will be registering your child(ren) please ensure their name is listed under the family members section to ensure you receive affiliate pricing. We must have this information by February 23rd if you want to be included in this year’s priority camp registration. 

Registration will begin for our very first group of priority parents on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 and continue from there. 
 
Refunds & Transfers: 
Our refund/transfer policy has been updated to align with pricing of individual camps instead of a flat fee. Refund requests made 6 weeks or more prior to the start of the session being dropped will receive 90% of their registration fees back, requests made between 4 and 6 weeks prior will receive a 75% refund, and requests made between 2 and 4 weeks prior will receive a 50% refund. Refunds will not be offered for requests made less than 2 weeks prior to the start of the session. Transfers will incur a $40 fee per camp transfer, per session, per camper.
