Challenge Course Open House

Experience the excitement of our Zipline and Leap of Faith courses through our Open House events that are open to everyone — and free! We provide all necessary protective equipment, including harnesses, helmets, ropes, hardware, and our trained challenge course facilitators are on hand to guide you through the experience.

RSVPing to the Open Houses is encouraged, but not required.

Leap of Faith

  • The Leap of Faith provides the ultimate opportunity for an individual challenge. With the coaching of our experienced facilitators and support of those on the ground, you can reach your goal and ascend the 35-foot pole, followed by a thrilling leap to the ground. There are no weight restrictions.
  • Leap of Faith Open Houses occur in February and July.

Zip Line

  • Our Zip Line gives participants the ultimate adrenaline rush. With the coaching of our experienced facilitators and support of those on the ground, you can climb the cargo net, ascend the staircase, and zip off the platform into your future, leaving the past behind! Individuals interested in trying the zip lines must weigh between 75 and 275 pounds.
  • Zip Line  Open Houses occur in October and April.

ATTENTION: There will be no secure storage area for participant belongings. While we do provide a designated area to leave belongings during participation, leave your belongings unattended at your own risk. We are not responsible for items that are left unattended at the Challenge Course.Upcoming Open House: Leaps of Faith on Wednesday, 7/23/25 11:00am-2:00pm

*Please note the open houses do not include the Odyssey Course elements. If you are interested in having a larger group experience at the challenge course, please reach out to us to schedule a program at teamchallenge@ucsd.edu or Request a Quote online.

Participation Requirements & Restrictions

Age & Weight

No Minimum Age. Minors MUST be accompanied by an adult and have paperwork signed by a parent/legal guardian.

Leaps of Faith - No size restrictions as long as the equipment fits.
Zip Line - Weight range for zip line hydraulics is 75-275 lbs.

Clothing

What to Expect and Wear Information Sheet (PDF)

Closed toed shoes/sneakers (mandatory for anyone onsite)

Long pants recommended (longer shorts okay). Shirt that covers your shoulders recommended.

No dangling jewelry or rings.

Challenge Course Location

Please follow all parking instructions, UCSD parking enforcement is very thorough.

Forms & Required Waiver

All participants must complete a Liability Waiver prior to participation. We will have extra printed forms available at the Challenge Course if you would like to complete the necessary paperwork upon arrival.

It is not necessary to complete the Medical Questionnaire, but please review the form and consult your doctor if you have any medical concerns.
