If you thought that there was no badminton in college, you heard wrong! The UCSD Badminton Team is one of the most popular sports on campus, with a record membership of 100+ students. In fact, we have our own league, sponsored team uniforms, social events such as a ski trip, a Seattle trip, tournaments, and more! We play in the Southern California Collegiate Badminton League, which includes UCLA, UCI, UCR, USC, UCSB, Cal Poly SLO, and others. We are very excited for the new year and welcome all of you to be a part of it. We practice twice a week on Wednesdays from 8-11pm in Main Gym and 7-11pm in Rec Gym and Sundays from 7-11pm in both Main Gym and Rec Gym. In addition, we have open gyms throughout the week with times posted on the UCSD Rec website. Come check out this friendly environment if you've had previous experience or have none at all. Come to play competitively or recreationally! If you have any questions, feel free to contact our UCSD Badminton team captains. So if you are ready for the challenge and ready to have some fun, come join us!
