TRIP POLICIES
Drugs, alcohol, tobacco and firearms are not permitted on any Outback trip. Presence of these items is grounds for immediate removal from the trip at the participant’s expense.
Our trips are technology-free environments. This means that cell phones and other devices must stay behind or put away. If you plan on using your smartphone as a camera, make sure it is in airplane mode for the duration of the trip. Some trips will require participants to leave phones behind completely.
Current emergency contact and medical information must be provided.
All participants must complete a Liability Waiver prior to the trip.
Cancellation Policy
Trips, Classes and Wilderness Medicine Courses
In the event that we must cancel a program, Outback Adventures issues participants a full refund. Participants are notified of the change in plans. Our staff immediately begins the process of issuing refunds. Outback Adventures assumes no liability for expenses incurred by client outside of fees paid to Outback Adventures.
We plan for success. Outback Adventures staff create programs and prepare resources and logistics with our mission, customers, and goals of the specific program in mind. We are disappointed when programs must be canceled, but it happens on occasion. Some of the reasons we need to cancel a program include:
* predicted or prevailing unsafe, weather conditions
* insufficient sign-ups
* illness or injury among the assigned staff
* rarely, other circumstances beyond our control
Our mission is to provide group adventures whenever possible, and an inherent part of outdoor adventures is to expect the unexpected. On occasion, we may alter a trip due to unforeseen circumstances instead of canceling it outright. This means your experience may not be exactly as outlined in the trip itinerary. We will always do our best to provide you with a safe and fun experience, and we reserve the right to alter our plans as necessary to fulfill this goal. In the event that your trip does not run exactly as planned, we do not offer any refunds.
Trips, Classes and Events
If you cancel your registration:
* More than 30 days before 1st day of the program = 90% refund
* More than 14 days before 1st day of the program = 75% refund
* 14 days or less before 1st day of the program = No refund, no exceptions
NOTE: Transferring dates, programs or times constitutes a cancellation and the above policy applies.

WARNING
Adventure travel has inherent risks of injury and/or death. These risks contribute to the "adventure" aspect of our trips. UCSD Outback Adventures and its employees assume no liability for any damages, loss, injury or death as a result of our trips. Some trips have a prerequisite fitness level, for which the participants are responsible. Any person participating in an Outback Adventures trip is personally responsible for their own safety.
