Recreation employs hundreds of amazing student staff that range from Weight Room Attendants and Sales Desk Staff to Referees and Graphic Designers! We recently started a recognition program where a monthly student employee will be recognized by their peers and Recreation Pro Staff.
Our second student to receive the award is Ben Hoang, a Facility Supervisor and a Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience Major, ERC 2021

- What is your favorite Recreation activity? Volleyball is love, volleyball is life
- What was your biggest accomplishment this month? My biggest accomplishment this month is being recognized as employee of the month no cap
- If you could become any fictional character, who would you choose? John Wick, minus the part where his dog dies (spoiler alert), he’s just an overall human superhero and his resourcefulness in any situation is something I look up to.
- What’s your favorite thing to do if you’re not at school or work? Play video games, catch me on League of Legends.
- If you had access to a time machine what’s the first thing you’d do? I would go back in time to play the lottery again.
- What’s your dream career once you graduate? My dream career is to work in HR for Google while also being a foster dad for shelter dogs.
- What’s one thing that not everyone knows about you? Cooking is my #1 passion, Gordon Ramsay looks up to me for advice from time to time.
