Hector Fletes, our very own UCSD Recreation professional staff, performed CPR on a student participant in his Aerial Silks class back in February 2019. As a result, Hector was nominated for and awarded a Lifesaving Award from the American Red Cross! He received the award on August 29th during the Recreation prostaff appreciation picnic at Mission Bay Aquatic Center. American Rec Cross board member and UC Regent Charlene Zettel presented this prestigious award to Hector along with Director of Recreation, Rich Mylin and VCSA, Alysson Satterlund.
