Not your average 5K…join us for a full moon dash at one of San Diego’s only night runs. Race past moonlit bears, snakes, falling houses and the Sun God– just some of UCSD’s giant outdoor art pieces that seem to come alive under the moonlight.
At the start of each summer, UCSD Recreation’s Outback Adventures hosts an incredible night run that showcases the beauty of UCSD from a nocturnal perspective. Grab one of your friends and do this fun, carefree, and entertaining run. you’ll follow a glow in the dark 5K path to a finish line that has music, treats, and prizes for the race winners. Not a UCSD student? Never fear! The Moon God 5k is open to everyone!

When? Tuesday, May 13th
What time? 7:30-8:30pm: Race check-in at the Outback Surf Shop on Library Walk. The race begins at 8:30pm.

How much? $15 UCSD Students; $23 For all others
Proceeds of the annual Moon God Race supports student leadership programs at UCSD.
Pro Tip: Arrive early to park! Closest visitor parking is in Hopkins Parking structure and will be $1 per 45 minutes. Pay stations accepting bills and credit card are available at the structure.
