This past weekend, the UCSD Equestrian Team travelled to Los Angeles to participate in the two-day IHSA horse show, put on by the UCLA and Claremont Colleges Equestrian Teams. On Saturday, Isabella Anderson placed 3rd and 6th in limit fences and limit flat, and Maggie placed 6th in intermediate fences. Although a bit of a rough day for the team overall, UCSD bounced back on Sunday: Isabella placed 1st and 4th in limit fences and limit flat, and was reserve high point rider. Maggie placed 2nd and 4th in intermediate flat and fences, and Danielle placed 5th in intermediate flat. Molly placed 3rd in novice flat. Genny placed 4th in pre-novice and Delia placed 6th. We are so proud of everyone for their amazing rides! The team introduced their amazing show pony, Jed, to the Intercollegiate League this weekend and he turned out to be complete star, enhancing overall team success. He supplied us with plenty of love and cuteness throughout the entire show and allowed the team to bond even more!
UCSD Equestrian will be soon traveling to Temecula, where they will be hosting their own IHSA show with Cal State Fullerton, and hopefully turning in even better results! GO TRITONS!
