The Triton's invited SDSU to Main Gym for a friendly scrimmage to prepare for the season, little did the Aztecs know that our lady Tritons assembled two kick butt teams this season. Both of our UCSD teams played two sets against each SDSU team. Our Blue team won all four sets against the Aztecs, effectively shutting down their hitters with our massive blocks and stellar defense. Emma Choi sped around the court picking up everything while Ryley "We Want More" Moore set up an impenetrable wall. Karissa "The K Stands For Kill" Jacobsen bounced a ball on the six foot line, while Rachael Robinson smacked a ball straight down with a beautiful setter dump. Meanwhile the Gold team baffled SDSU A with their incredible scrappiness. Lexi Zeiler got some incredible passes while Diana Che put away balls. They returned hit after hit, until SDSU could compete no longer. They won both sets against SDSU A team. We love our SDSU friends, but we still showed them how competitive we Tritons are!
