Triton Alumni Continue Losing Streak Against Current Team

Despite the appearance of  “Dirty J” Jonathan Chan, the Triton Lacrosse Alumni came up winless this past Saturday against the current team. The game, however, was back and forth with both teams going into the half with 2 points apiece.

Coming out of the half, the current Tritons began to outpace their former teammates and colleagues, and ended the game with a 7-3 win. Whether this is attributed to better coaching, better team play, or age (it's definitely age), is anyone's guess.

Despite the final score, smiles abounded as old men felt young(er) again and reveled in their former glory. Several notable highlights include a last second defensive stand that left Henry “Henny”  Huang flat on his back after the Alumni’s silver fox goalie delivered a textbook hit, an absolutely amazing dodge around crease that left Junior Defensemen Cole Barden trailing behind, and a touching tribute to Jack Mangelsdorf, who recently passed, after the game.

Overall, the Tritons looked sharp on defense, and capable on offense. They appear poised to carry over their momentum from last years SLC and National Playoffs, and make a deep push for the SLC Title, and perhaps another National Tournament Berth.
