The Bryson women open was held on February 16th and 17th at Stanford Boathouse. Saturday races started off in rain and wind with gusts over 30 knots. Showers throughout the day made for difficult conditions. The competition was highly competitive but equally matched. There were several capsizes, and the UCSD team almost made it unscathed but flipped in the last race. The races concluded at 5PM. Sunday showed much better condition with constant wind at 20 knots with sunny weather. Quick rotations with Stanford predominantly winning, who took the first place for Women’s. CalPolySLO had a solid performance overall and took second. There was a strong representation by the UCSD women’s team and it was a good opportunity to sail in a deep field of women sailors.
