The Tritons came out of the gate strong against LMU. They scored two quick goals early, and strong goaltending kept them up 2-0 through the first 30 minutes of the game, despite being outshot heavily. Unfortunately, a defense that was short on manpower eventually succumbed to fatigue and gave up numerous chances to LMU. Enough of these found the back of the net, and UCSD couldn't quite get them back. LMU swept the season series 2-0.
