The UC San Diego Sailing Team drove up to sunny Santa Barbara this past weekend to race against other colleges in the annual Fall Pacific Coast Conference Championship. The regatta was hosted by UC Santa Barbara with races held both Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday was a beautiful day with the breeze shifting from the south to southwest at 7-10 knots. With flat water and a pleasant temperature, the racing was great. Sunday had similar conditions with wind shifting south to southwest at 6-10 knots. The team hauled up six boats to compete, enabling many of our members to race this past weekend. Varsity landed 16th in a fierce 21-boat fleet. JV raced with four boats in the JV fleet, placing 8th, 11th, 16th, and 20th in the 22-boat JV fleet.
