Pre-Op Outdoor Experience MSI Incoming Students

Start your new life here at UCSD off with an awesome camping trip in the Laguna Mountains with your fellow incoming medical students in the Class of 2021. The trip is a chance to get to know your new community while having fun in the outdoors. You will learn inside information about life at med school, camp out under the mountain stars, share campfire stories, experience the campus’s challenge course, go on hikes, play games, make new friends and just have a blast before school starts. The trip is subsidized by UCSD and is just $60 for incoming med students.  The trip includes almost everything; transportation, entrance fee to all parks, food, all group equipment including tents, stoves, cooking gear, and more. You just need to bring your clothes and a sleeping bag & pad (or rent them cheaply from our outdoor gear rental shop). The trip is run by UCSD Recreation-Outback Adventures and the School Of Medicine’s second year students. “This is probably the best thing I could have done to prepare myself for school. It was awesome to surround myself with great people especially when I was going through such a big transition.” – Current SOM student WHO Class of 2021 (plus Class of ’20 facilitators and Outback Guides) WHAT Camping, Hiking, Camp Fires, etc. WHERE UCSD, Laguna Mountains, CA (east of San Diego) WHEN 8am, August 25 – 5pm, August 27, 2017 WHY To meet your amazing new classmates!
