This was a great game for UCSD. This was the first game where the Tritons had most of their starters from the A-team playing together. They started a bit slow despite being the better team. In the second half, the Tritons started making fewer mistakes and playing more as a team, and eventually pulled ahead of Palomar to win 17-7.
