3/28-29/26 - High-Wind Sailing in the Beautiful Hawaii
On Saturday, strong, gusting winds greeted the sailors, creating fast-paced and physically demanding racing conditions throughout the day. Despite the challenging breeze, the energy remained high, and participants embraced the opportunity to compete in such dynamic conditions. A total of 10 races were completed, testing consistency, boat handling, and teamwork across all divisions. After a long day on the water, the sailors gathered onshore to relax and refuel, enjoying pizza from Papa John’s while sharing highlights from the day’s racing and building camaraderie among teams.
Sunday brought another day of excellent sailing conditions, with steady winds complemented by clear skies and warm temperatures reaching around 80 degrees. The favorable weather allowed for a smooth continuation of the competition, and six additional races were completed in each division to conclude the round-robin format. Sailors maintained strong focus and endurance through the final races, capping off a full weekend of competitive sailing marked by both challenging conditions and memorable experiences on and off the water.
