The UCSD Club Gymnastics team traveled to UC Davis for a beautifully themed Winter Wonderland meet and delivered an impressive set of performances across every level. The athletes embraced the atmosphere and competed with confidence, composure, and determination, earning numerous podium finishes and strong all-around placements. The team would also like to congratulate Kaitlyn Lin for competing for the first time with them and keeping the energy high while doing so!

At Level 9, Raina led the way with an outstanding all-around performance. She captured first place on beam and floor, second place on vault, and finished second in the all-around. Her consistency and poise throughout the meet set the tone for a successful day.

The Diamond team showcased both depth and event strength. Kayla earned fifth on vault, fourth on beam, and placed fourth all-around. Mia had a standout meet, winning vault, taking second on beam, and placing third on floor. Frances delivered an especially strong beam routine to earn first place, while also finishing third on bars and third on floor. The Diamond group demonstrated excellent competitive focus and balance across events.

In the Platinum division, Kaitlyn Fong showed out this meet. She placed first on bars and floor, second on beam, fifth on vault, and secured second in the all-around. Maia contributed solid routines as well, finishing fourth on vault and fifth on beam. The Platinum athletes competed with confidence and consistency, showing continued growth.

The Silver team also had an impressive showing. Nohely earned third in the all-around along with fifth-place finishes on vault, beam, and floor. Nyla had a standout meet, placing first all-around, first on beam, second on vault, and third on floor. Kaitlyn Lin added to the team’s success with a first-place finish on vault and second on beam. The Silver group displayed determination and strong event execution throughout the competition.

In the MAG session, the athletes delivered powerful performances. Ari placed second on floor and earned first on pommel horse and rings, along with another first-place finish on vault. Raina won first place on floor. The MAG team competed with strength and precision, rounding out a successful day for the entire team.

Overall, the Winter Wonderland meet at UC Davis was a memorable and rewarding competition. Across all levels, the athletes demonstrated resilience, skill, and team pride. The team looks forward to their next performance at their home meet, Triton Coastal Classic.
