In the first round of the playoffs against Cal Poly, the Tritons battled through extremely difficult conditions in a tight, hard-fought match. Strong winds made visibility and ball control challenging, but UCSD stayed composed and resilient throughout. Their perseverance paid off in the third quarter when they scored the decisive goal, earning a 1–0 victory and advancing in the playoffs.

Riding that momentum into the finals against UCSB, the Tritons entered the match with confidence and focus. With improved weather conditions, the pace of play was faster, though the game remained intensely competitive. The Tritons struck early in the second quarter to take the lead, setting the tone for a championship-caliber performance.

The third quarter proved pivotal, as UCSD added a second goal while UCSB answered with one of their own, keeping the score tight at 2–1. Under pressure, the Tritons held strong defensively and managed the game with poise until the final whistle.
