    11/22/25 - Swamdo 2025

The UC San Diego Cycling Team participated in the annual Swamdo (Swami’s Gran Fondo) as an organized group ride, representing the team in both the 100-mile and 60-mile route options. In keeping with Swamdo’s mission, the event was open to all riders and featured scenic yet challenging courses with fully supported rest stops in Fallbrook, Temecula, and Escondido.

Two team members, Jack Hu and Cyrus, completed the demanding 100-mile route, joined by UCSD Cycling Team alumni Xinsong Lin and Elisa Luo. Their ride demonstrated strong endurance, steady pacing, and effective teamwork across a long-distance course that included sustained climbs and varied terrain.

The 60-mile route was completed by Thinh, Til, Jiayu, Mason, and Holly, who rode cohesively as a group and showed excellent coordination and mutual support throughout the event. All riders finished with strong times and high morale, reflecting the team’s preparation, fitness, and commitment to safe riding practices.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for team bonding, fitness development, and strengthening connections with alumni and the broader Southern California cycling community. After the ride, team members regrouped for recovery, post-ride nutrition, and reflection on the day’s accomplishments.
