11/22/25 - Badminton League Match 2
UCSD absolutely dominated the competition this weekend, powering through the day undefeated without dropping a single match! The Tritons tore through PCC, CPP, and CSUF, securing a clean 3–0 sweep and showcasing top-tier grit, skill, and teamwork.
Jason Yang and Matthew Yu kicked things off with a high-momentum win over CSUF, closing out their match 21–13, 21–19. Newly formed duo Shreyas Kotian and Thompson Wong came out swinging as well, surging to a 30–23 victory against CPP. Not to be outdone, Angela Xu and Sanika Gurav crushed their CPP opponents with a commanding 30–15 win.
In women’s singles, Ella Mak delivered one of the most decisive wins of the day, dismantling CSUF with an incredible 30–4 performance. Over in mixed doubles, Jaden Seangmany and Annabelle Zhou toppled PCC with a strong 30–15 finish, while Joseph Bee and Nolan Chin battled through a nail-biter to secure a clutch 30–28 men’s doubles victory.
Men’s singles standout Wyatt Fong continued his streak of excellence, sweeping through his matches with confidence and control. Meanwhile, Esien Ng and Ardra Mohan played with grace and fire, earning a dominant 30–10 win in women’s doubles against CPP. To top it off, Matthew Chan and Esien Ng displayed seamless teamwork in mixed doubles, closing out their match against CPP 30–26.
Overall, the Tritons had an unforgettable day, proving their determination and domination on every court. UCSD walked away not just undefeated, but showing steady consistency.
