UCSD faced the University of California Irvine, yet again after their win against them in Regionals this past month. UCSD battled hard, but after 3 breakaways from UCI, they were down 0-3 in the first half. The Tritons had many great opportunities but weren't able to put any of them in the back of the net. Both teams came out strong in the second half for another 45 minutes. With another 1v1, UCI was able to secure their lead with a final goal, finishing the game with a loss of 0-4 for the Tritons. As this was UCSD’s last league game of the quarter, the team will take a break until January and prepare for their game against UCLA in the winter.
