UCSD opened the match strong against UCLA on November 16th, 2025. Early in the first quarter, Hudson put UCSD on the board with a composed finish off a setup from Dillan on their first penalty corner. Not long after, Grace added to the momentum, scoring a field goal assisted by Emmy to give UCSD a solid 2–0 lead.

The second quarter brought tougher moments for UCSD as UCLA responded with two goals of their own, tightening the score and shifting the game’s intensity. Despite the pressure, UCSD’s defense worked hard to contain UCLA’s attack, keeping the match level heading into halftime and setting up a competitive second half.

In the third quarter, Hudson struck again—this time unassisted—capitalizing on a fast counterattack and finishing with a clean reverse sweep to reclaim the lead. The fourth quarter saw no additional goals from either side as UCSD held strong defensively to secure the win. UCSD ultimately came out on top with a tight 3–2 victory over UCLA.
