11/1/25 - Tritons Dominate Claremont with a 9-0 Shutout Victory

The Tritons came out strong in their November 1st matchup against Claremont, dominating from the start and maintaining control throughout the game. In the first quarter, Hudson opened the scoring with an early goal assisted by Emily Landers off a penalty corner, followed shortly after by Emmy, who capitalized on a setup from Hudson to give UCSD a 2-0 lead. The team’s strong communication and quick passing set the tone for the rest of the match.

In the second quarter, Ally extended UCSD’s lead with an unassisted goal off a penalty stroke, pushing the momentum even further in the Tritons’ favor. The team’s defense remained solid, shutting down Claremont’s attempts to advance and keeping the ball in UCSD’s offensive zone for most of the quarter. The intensity and teamwork on both ends of the field reflected the Tritons’ focus and determination.

UCSD exploded offensively in the second half, scoring six more goals to seal the victory. In the third quarter, James struck twice—once assisted by Emily Landers and once unassisted—while Emi and Hudson each added goals off well-executed penalty corners. The scoring continued into the fourth quarter as Matilda netted two goals, one unassisted and one assisted by Emily Landers, bringing the final score to 9-0. It was a dominant all-around performance from UCSD, showcasing depth, precision, and relentless energy on the field.
