The team opened its first race of the year with a strong showing, highlighted by a podium finish in the women’s collegiate division, where Shaina King secured 3rd place, along with four additional top-ten results. Despite having only one week of official practices, fifteen athletes competed, including two newcomers making their debut. The group demonstrated solid base fitness and showed clear potential for continued growth throughout the season.
The early performances reflected strong preparation and a focused mindset among both returning members and new athletes. Coaches noted significant improvements in technique compared to the end of the previous year. The event also provided valuable racing experience that will guide upcoming training cycles.
