10/18/25 - New Look Tritons Go 2-1 in SoCal Shootout
After a long two weeks of tryouts, the Tritons have finalized their roster for the year, which includes a whopping 16 new players. It was a quick turnaround for the new guys from last weekend's tryout series, but they handled it like veterans. After giving last year's NCBA World Series Semifinalist Gauchos a run for their money on Saturday; only losing 6-5 on a walk-off hit-by-pitch, the Tritons showed out on Sunday. Starting off strong with an 11-0 rout of UC Riverside on the back of freshman catcher Andrew Chao's 3-hit game, the Tritons looked to carry momentum into the final game of the weekend against their crosstown rival Aztecs. After falling behind early 4-1, the Triton bats finally woke up, scoring 7 runs in the 4th inning. They would hold the lead to the end of the game, making a statement with a 12-6 win over a strong conference rival.
