10/18-19/25 - SDSU Water Polo Tournament
Another undefeated weekend for the UCSD A team. We started off with a fun game with UCI. Unfortunately, UCI did not have enough players to play a full game and had to forfeit, but we still had a friendly scrimmage with the players there to make up for it. Then we played SDSU A, which was our closest game of the weekend. As always, SDSU A was very physical and we had a tough time adjusting to that in the first half. In the second half, we calmed down and didn't play to their level, allowing us to maintain the lead and win. The next day, we played ASU A and University of Arizona. We were dominant in both games, and there was not much to say about them.
Unfortunately, our B team had to forfeit our first two games since we had someone previously on the A team for a past tournament move down for the B team games Saturday. This meant that the games the A team player played in were automatically forfeited, despite the B team winning both games. Sunday was great for the B team because even without the A team guy, they tied UCI, which is the second-best team in our league, and beat SDSU B.
