    1/31/26 - China Peak Race 2

This weekend at China Peak, the team settled into the rhythm of competing, with many athletes taking more aggressive lines in the race courses and attempting new tricks on the freestyle side. Friday Slopestyle features were the same as the previous weekend, giving athletes the chance to perfect skills on features they had experience on. AJ took first in Men's Snowboard Slopestyle, as well as Snowboard GS Saturday.

Saturday Giant Slalom also had the podium filled with UC San Diego skiers, with Addi and Jordan taking second and third, respectively on the women's side, and Ivan in second on the men's side. The rail jam setup was more intricate this week, with an added down rail and stair setup that several team members attempted. AJ and Lorenzo took first and third for Men's Snowboard.

Sunday slalom proved difficult for both snowboarders and skiers, with several athletes getting DNF'd or DQ'd. Still, it allowed them to test their technique in challenging conditions, better preparing them for regionals.
