Archery - Beginning
Introduction to the basics of shooting techniques. All equipment provided. The ECRA archery field is located on the east end of campus, across the street from Thornton Hospital and overlooking the Baseball Field.

Archery - Advanced Beginning
The next step up from beginning, work on improving technique. All equipment provided.The ECRA archery field is located on the east end of campus, across the street from Thornton Hospital and overlooking the Baseball Field.

Archery - Intermediate
For those intermediate and above, interested in pursuing competitive goals. Students practice using regulation format and engage in mock competitions with individual and team events. Archery specific exercises are used to target key shooting muscles and advanced techniques are introduced. The ECRA archery field is located on the east end of campus, across the street from Thornton Hospital and overlooking the Baseball Field.

Archery - Open Workout
For archers with basic skills wanting practice on our archery range. Supervision/basic safety instruction provided along with access to traditional barebow archery equipment. Open to adults and children 12-17 when accompanied by parent/legal guardian.

Archery Team Workout

Badminton - Beginning
This class is for students who have difficulty making consistent contact with the shuttle and/or are new to the game. In the class, you will learn basic technique/strategy and develop your skills through drills and games. Bring your own racquet. You must purchase one shuttlecock at the Main Gym Desk ($2) and bring it to the first day of class.

This class is for the students who have the basic knowledge and skills of the game and the ability to make appropriate actions. The class will focus on individual improvement through practice and game playing to advance your skills level. Bring your own racquet. You must purchase a shuttlecock at the Main Gym Desk ($2) and bring it to the first day of class.

Boxing - Coed Beginning (1/week)
This class will focus on the training techniques used by the pros to improve speed, balance and endurance. Learn how to properly use the heavy bag and speed bag for conditioning. This class is suitable for any weight or skill level.

Training for Competitive Boxing (Approval Required)
Students in this class will be provided with boxing instruction based on their current skill level, and desire to increase their athletic ability. Students will be taught proper technique, and placed in sparring matches with fellow students as well as the instructor. Anybody in this class must consider the commitment they are willing to offer in order to increase their boxing ability, as it is taught at a higher level, and for competitive sport rather than general exercise. Approval from instructor required.

Fencing Intro
A vigorous and fun workout designed to increase strength, flexibility and endurance through footwork and swordplay.

Fencing - Level 1
The basics of combative footwork and blade work are taught using the foil. The basic goals are fun, fitness, and core skills development. The average individual interested in the modern sport of fencing can get a hands on perspective of how to make basic attacks, core defenses, and use of footwork within a basic bout. Equipment is provided.

Fencing - Level 2
Athletes are guided through the basics of electrical fencing and directing of bouts in foil, epee and saber. Athletes are guided through the basics of electric foil fencing and directing of bouts. Completion of Level 1 fencing class or equivalent required.

Golf
Enjoying learning this lifetime sport and hone your technique at Sorrento Canyon Golf Center (5605 Carroll Canyon Rd.) with the help of their excellent teaching staff. Bring your own clubs.

Indoor Volleyball Workout
Drills, strategies and competition are the order of the day. Get ready for Intramural or club volleyball, or just sign up to have fun playing in class.

Sand Volleyball – Beginning
Get ready for some down and dirty fun with these courses on sand volleyball! Skills and techniques specific to playing on sand courts: spiking, serving, setting and more will be covered.

Racquetball - Beginning
Learn and improve the correct approach to forehand, backhand, scoring, serving, and strategy. Class size limited.

Racquetball - Beginning Workshop
Learn the basics in this quick intro workshop.

Racquetball Intermediate/Advanced (1/week)
Weekly racquetball match play with some skill work; social racquetball with emphasis on participation. Designed for those with good solid fundamental skills and knowledge.

Tennis - Beginning (1/week)
This class is for beginning level players with little to no experience playing tennis. Bring your own tennis racquet. *RAP/Premium Membership Eligible*

Tennis - Beginning (2/week)
This class is for beginning level players with little to no experience playing tennis. Bring your own tennis racquet.

Tennis - Beyond Beginning (1/week)
This class is rated 2.0-3.0 in the National Tennis Rating Program. Bring your own racket.

Tennis - Beyond Beginning (2/week)
This class is rated 2.0-3.0 in the National Tennis Rating Program.

Tennis - Intermediate
This class is for intermediate players level 3.0-4.0 on the National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP)

Tennis - Intermediate (2/week for 1 hour)
This class is for individuals proficient with all tennis skills who want to work on game playing and strategy.

Join our Rec instructor for a fun morning of match play, skills work and social tennis. For intermediate to advanced players only.
