The Knock Around Camps are built upon our belief that environment dictates a child’s summer experience. Each summer we at Knock Around strive to create a low pressure, high energy, positive environment where children are encouraged to create friendships, explore creativity, and have the time of their lives.
In each of our camps, children are introduced to a wide variety of activities designed to promote teamwork, self-esteem, leadership, cultural awareness, and friendship.
This summer we’re offering a myriad of camp options. Look them over and if you have any questions, feel free to contact
Katie Shaw-Bullock (Gidget) at (858) 534-3911 email@example.com
Ben Brickley (Brick) at (858) 822-0532 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Saturday, March 4th registration is only open to those who have already received a lottery number. If you are a new affiliate or 2016 returner and did NOT receive a number, we suggest going to RIMAC Sales the week following registration (anytime on or after Monday, March 6th) to register in person. RIMAC Sales is open Monday-Saturday, 8am-6pm. You can follow our Twitter feed @UCSDKnockAround for updates on what camps have filled and which still have availability. If a camp you are interested in is full, please email Brick at email@example.com to be added to the wait list.
March 4th: registration open to UCSD affiliates and returning families from Knock Around 2016 Spring/Summer
April 3rd: registration open to the public
Returning families who have attended Knock Around Camp for 6+ years will be given priority registration. You do not need to attend registration on March 4th. You will receive specific registration instructions via email by February 6th. Returning families who have attended 5 years or fewer and new UCSD affiliates will register in person on Saturday, March 4th. We will be conducting a lottery in advance of registration day and sending out each family’s registration order # ahead of time. Please read through our detailed registration instructions and information below.
Each family will receive one ticket for each year they have attended Knock Around Camp, plus one additional (i.e. the Shaw-Bullock family has attended camp for five summers, so they will have six tickets in the lottery; the Brickleys attended last summer for the first time, so they will have two tickets in the lottery). Everyone will be entered into the lottery based on the amount of years they have attended camp. If you are a new affiliate and have yet to attend camp, you will be entered into the lottery one time. Once we have held the lottery, you will receive a set order number for the March 4th registration day. We are planning to do the lottery on Thursday, February 23rd and will send out the order by Friday, February 24th. If you know of a 2016 returner and/or new UCSD affiliate that is not on our email list, or you think you qualify for the lottery and have not been emailed registration instructions by February 7th, please email Gidget (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Brick (email@example.com) so they can be added to the lottery. Anyone not a part of this list that contacts us after February 23rd will automatically be added to the end of the lottery list.
In order to participate in any of our Knock Around Summer Camps, all campers must meet the following minimum requirements:
