Welcome to MBAC! The Mission Bay Aquatic Center is one of the largest collegiate instructional waterfront facilities in the country. Established in 1971, it was designed for students, faculty and staff of UCSD to enjoy instructional and recreational opportunities in ocean sports. Our mission is to help you learn and enjoy activities in and around the beach, free from the academic pressures of campus. San Diego is a community with much of its activity centered around the water, so come down, enjoy the bay, sign up for a class today.

MBAC Rec Classes If it takes place on the water, we likely teach it! The Mission Bay Aquatic Center offers classes in: Sailing Wakeboarding Kayaking Waterskiing Surfing Rowing Windsurfing Kiteboarding Classes are held on weekends and weekday evenings and range from one day to four weeks in length. MBAC Special Events Does your group want to do some team building, or enjoy a picnic at the bay? The MBAC can custom tailor activities to suit any group meeting, picnic, or team building activity. Equipment Rental As a student, staff or alumni of UCSD, you are eligible to take advantage of our equipment rental program. The Aquatic Center's recreational equipment rental program offers the use of sailboats, windsurfers, kayaks, rowing wherries, singles, shells and skippered waterski boats for your personal recreational enjoyment at low discounted prices.
