 Swimmers need to be able to swim about

400 yards of freestyle.

It will also help if you know how to swim at least one other competitive stroke,  in order to fit into one of the workout lanes with other swimmers.


Here's our on going QUARTERLY workout schedule for swimming:

Monday thru Friday: 

6:00-7:30am / 7:30-9:00am / 11:30am-1:00pm 

Monday thru Thursday: 6:00-7:30pm

Saturday: 7:30-9:00am    Sunday: 9:00-10:30am

 Community Membership:

Daily-$10.00 / Quarterly- $140.00*

*includes a facility pass to pool & track.

***If you already have a REC CARD the Swimming Program Fee is only $90.00 for the quarter.

Student Membership:

Daily- $4.00 / Quarterly- $55.00

***Weekends may be subject to cancellation due to other Aquatic Program scheduling.

National Sports Registration Forms for 2014.

All of our athletes must be affiliated with a National organization for liability purposes. Please register online or download the forms and mail 'em in. Carry your form with you (good if you travel).

IMPORTANT NOTICE: NOW AVAILABLE
On-Line USMS Membership processing and printing or re-printing of individual USMS cards
Individuals can quickly apply for or renew USMS membership via the new on-line USMS Registration/ Membership site. Each swimmer can print and re-print his or her USMS card whenever needed as proof of membership for an entry form or to participate in a workout.

Please write in SAN DIEGO SWIM MASTERS under club affiliation.

UCSD Triathlon & Running Workouts - week of June 6, 2010

TRACK WORKOUTS > 6:00-7:30am or 5:45-7:15pm
Tuesdays & Thursdays

TURBO WORKOUTS > 6:00-7:30am Tuesdays & Fridays
*** No Tuesday evening turbo /
*** Turbo & Track on Thursday 5:45-7:15pm

Tuesday "AM" track workout:
WU: 10-15min & 6 x 100m strides.
MS: 3-4 sets of 2x400/ 1x800 (5k pace).
1min rest after 400's & 1 lap after 800.

Thursday "AM" track workout:
Fartlek: 3 times 4-3-2-1 minutes strong w/ 60 sec. recoveries & bonus of 3x400 fast!!

Friday turbo/transition workout:
WU: 6x30/30 ILTs & 3x3 min. SCR build cadence. 1min easy between. MS: 4x 8min LCR with 2 easy between. First 4min build cadence in same gear then last 4min build gears and cadence drops. 20min Tempo Run off the bike.
