    Rec Card Info

    Your Recreation Card gives you:

    * Access to all UCSD sports facilities during "Informal Recreation" hours.

    * Discounted prices on:
    *Recreation Classes for adults and children (17 & under);
    *Outback Adventures outings and equipment rentals;
    *Mission Bay Aquatic Center classes and equipment rentals.

    * Eligibility to play Intramural Sports (faculty and staff; alumni must pay an additional fee)


    Purchasing a Recreation Card:

    *You may purchase a Rec Card with cash, check, Visa, Master Card,American Express,Discover, Triton Plus Cards or UCSD payroll deduction (UCSD employees only - call (858) 534-3557 for details).

    * If you have never purchased a Rec Card before, you will need to come to the RIMAC Sales Desk, have your photo taken and show status verification (for faculty, staff or alumni categories) before receiving the Rec Card.

    *Spring Rec Cards may be purchased:
    a) In-person at the RIMAC Sales Desk starting Monday, March 3 Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm.

    Extended hours: March 3-April 10, Monday - Thursday, 8am - 7:30pm, Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

    b) By mail - UCSD Recreation, 9500 Gilman Drive, 0529, La Jolla, CA 92093-0529, starting March 3

    * All Rec Card registration forms must be accompanied by a Rec Card waiver and payment. The Rec Card waiver is available on line at http://recreation.ucsd.edu, on page 78 of the Recreation Magazine, or at the RIMAC Sales Desk.

    * THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ON REC CARDS.

    * PARKING AT UCSD: Please call the UCSD Transportation and Parking Services Department at (858) 534-2208 for information. UCSD Recreation does not control parking for the RIMAC or other UCSD sports facilities.


    Age of Majority Policy

    UCSD Recreation defines a minor as anyone under the age of 18 years of age.

    Minors under the age of 10 do not have to purchase Recreation Cards (but may be required to obtain Recreation cards, at no cost, in the future, for identification purposes).

    Minors under the age of 10 may have Recreation privileges only when under the direct supervision of their parental Recreation Card Holder/Recreation Day Pass purchaser.

    Minors ages 10-17 may have Recreation Privileges by purchasing a Junior Recreation Card if one of their parents is a Recreation Card holder.

    Minors ages 10-17 may have Recreation Privileges by purchasing a Recreation day Pass if one of their parents is a Recreation Card Holder or purchases a Recreation Day Pass.

    Junior Recreation Card Holders/Recreation Day Pass users may have Recreation privileges only when under the direct supervision of their parental Recreation Card Holder/Recreation Day Pass purchaser.

    Recreation privileges for minors are limited to the following activities:

    Tennis, racquetball, squash, handball--Direct parental supervision requires the parent to be in the court with the minor or have direct observation of the minor from outside the court. Parent and minor cannot be in/on two different courts at the same time.

    Family Swim time at Canyonview Pool - Direct parental supervision requires the parent to be within 20 feet of the minor and have direct observation of the minor at all times.
