It takes hundreds of dedicated employees to support the amazing programs, classes and activities that make up UC San Diego Recreation.  More than 500 people are employed annually.  The variety of positions is vast.  We employ everything from Lifeguards, to sports officials, ballroom dance instructors to marketing assistants and sales representatives to wilderness guides. 

A job with Recreation is a convenient, fun and rewarding on-campus employment opportunity.  Hours are often flexible and can usually be tailored to meet your needs.

  1. 10-Time Fitness-Yoga Pass Created (Nov 2)

    A 10-time use pass for most Fitness and Yoga classes including Pilates, Barre, Cardio & Conditioning and Indoor Cycling. Not valid for special events, workshops or small studio/small group training classes. Passes are non-refundable.  Does not expire! $60 for students, $72 for Rec Card holders and $84 for community. Purchase the pass at the RIMAC sales desk today! 

  2. Surf Created (Nov 2)

    Want a fun and flexible part time job? Become a surf or swim instructor with Rec Classes! Work 4-12 hours a week; both weekday and weekend shifts available. $12/hour starting rate for surf instructors and $13/hour starting rate for swim! Contact cclaiborn@ucsd.edu for more info. 

  3. "Swim to Santa Barbara" Created (Nov 2)

    Swim to Santa Barbara in Canyonview Waters! Open to any recreational swimmer. This program is designed for individuals to challenge themselves to swim greater distances on a regular basis. Keep track of your progress in our swim log binder located at the Canyonview front desk. Win a free shirt after completion! 

  4. Get in the Game with Fall Intramurals Created (Oct 2)

    Intramural sports is your home base for recreational team sports. Compete with your friends and classmates. Create your own team or sign up as an individual. All game schedules and registration are done on imleagues.com

  5. Free Climbing for First Timers! Created (Oct 2)

    Free day pass and rental gear for current UC San Diego students who haven't tried the OCC yet this quarter. Stop by during any open hours during Fall quarter to give it a try. Click here for more information about the Outback Climbing Center. 

  6. Outback Climbing Center Created (May 23)

    Open to students, staff, faculty and community for drop-in climbing, membership and private rentals. Click here for more info!
