It takes hundreds of dedicated employees to support the amazing programs, classes and activities that make up UC San Diego Recreation.  More than 500 people are employed annually.  The variety of positions is vast.  We employ everything from Lifeguards, to sports officials, ballroom dance instructors to marketing assistants and sales representatives to wilderness guides. 

A job with Recreation is a convenient, fun and rewarding on-campus employment opportunity.  Hours are often flexible and can usually be tailored to meet your needs.

  1. Mindfulness and Meditation 5-Week Workshop Created (Oct 2)

    Tue, 5:15-6:30pm, Oct 13 - Nov 10
    Designed for those new to the practices and those looking for skillful instruction. Michele has been teaching yoga, meditation and breathwork for over thirty years. Her work emphasizes the inner practices of Raja Yoga, including focus on mediation as a spiritual pathway to develop optimal health and full human potential.

  2. Get in the Game with Fall Intramurals Created (Oct 2)

    Intramural sports is your home base for recreational team sports. Compete with your friends and classmates. Create your own team or sign up as an individual. All game schedules and registration are done on imleagues.com

  3. Free Climbing for First Timers! Created (Oct 2)

    Free day pass and rental gear for current UC San Diego students who haven't tried the OCC yet this quarter. Stop by during any open hours during Fall quarter to give it a try. Click here for more information about the Outback Climbing Center.

    For tips on how to treat yourself well with healthy eating, check out the UC San Diego FitLife blog. You can also drop by our Registered Dietitian's open office hours in the RIMAC weight room every Wednesday 2:30-3:30pm to discuss any of your nutrition questions.

  6. 29 Sports Clubs, One Team Created (Aug 5)

    Get Competitive! Sports Clubs provide students with the opportunity to experience the commitment, challenge and enjoyment of competitive sports teams and represent UC San Diego by competing against other university Sports Club teams! All students are eligible to join a team, regardless of skill level! Check out schedules, rosters and contact team captains with questions at sportsclubs.ucsd.edu
