It takes hundreds of dedicated employees to support the amazing programs, classes and activities that make up UC San Diego Recreation.  More than 500 people are employed annually.  The variety of positions is vast.  We employ everything from Lifeguards, to sports officials, ballroom dance instructors to marketing assistants and sales representatives to wilderness guides. 

A job with Recreation is a convenient, fun and rewarding on-campus employment opportunity.  Hours are often flexible and can usually be tailored to meet your needs. 

For current UCSD registered students, you can view any open jobs at Port Triton, just search for Recreation.  You can also find out about future opportunities by contacting any of the Recreation program areas.  They will let you know about any current and future opportunities.  For more information you can also contact the director of Human Resources for the Recreation Department, Greg Spire, at gspire@ucsd.edu.

  1. Massage for Stress Relief Created (Mar 9)

    Mondays, April 6-June1, 7-9pm Learn massage techniques to releive stress and tension! Swedish, Thai, Shiatsu and Deep Tissue will be covered in this 4 week workshop. Register here!

  2. Tamale Making Workshop Created (Mar 9)

    Monday, April 20, 5-7pm. Learn the art of tamale making from scratch, with fillings and toppings! Chef Carmen Bernard Baca will lead you through the process and end with tasting delicious tamales! Register here!

  3. FitFest 2015 Created (Mar 9)

    Wednesday, April 1, 11:30am-1pm at Main Gym & Thursday, April 2, 5-7pm at RIMAC. Try new classes, chair massage and more. FREE!

  4. Powerlifting Contest Created (Feb 26)

    Saturday, April 11 at 11am in the RIMAC Weight Room. Compete in many categories in the dead lift and bench press. For more information contact Jeff Milton at jmilton@ucsd.edu

  5. Yoga for Women's Health Created (Feb 12)

    Saturday, Feb. 28, 1-3pm. This workshop focuses on yoga poses creating strength, stabiltiy and comfort. For more info and to register click here

    Trying to find the perfect gift for your suitemate, colleague or friend? FitLife offers Personal Session gift certificates perfect for the holiday season. Gift certificates can be purchased at the RIMAC Sales Desk for Private Massage, Personal Pilates and Nutrition Counseling.
